Security Concept and Travel Risk Management
For business and work-related travel to Ukraine, security planning is a central part of the travel organisation.
When planning a trip, MOEZ takes into account the current security situation, planned destinations, transport routes, accommodation and the specific travel programme. Travel and security advice from the responsible German authorities is included in the preparation.

Absolute safety cannot be guaranteed for travel to Ukraine. The aim is to assess identifiable risks in a structured way and prepare suitable organisational measures for the specific trip.
Insurance Cover and Repatriation
Before a work-related or business trip to Ukraine, it should be checked whether the existing insurance cover is sufficient for the specific trip.
This applies in particular to suitable international travel health insurance and repatriation insurance, and whether the intended cover also applies under the conditions of the planned trip.
On request, MOEZ provides travel information relevant for coordination with employers, insurers or assistance providers, for example on destinations, transport routes, accommodation and the travel itinerary.
Risk Assessment for Work-Related Travel to Ukraine
German employers must also consider occupational health and safety requirements and their duty of care when sending employees on business travel.
MOEZ supports companies in preparing information relevant to a business trip for the risk assessment under the German Occupational Safety and Health Act, in particular Sections 3–6 ArbSchG.
This may include information on travel routes, means of transport, accommodation, the security situation, emergency planning and planned protective measures.
The risk assessment and the employer decisions resulting from it remain the responsibility of the respective employer.
